This is a favourite view of my garden. I waited for the Day Lilies to flower as a pop of colour to finish the painting . The doorway leads into my studio sanctuary.

I was struck by this line of trees tinged with autumn colours and the blue shadows on the frosted field, which make for an interesting composition.
I walk this path nearly every day. The crisp colours and shadows of May are a delight.
Oil on canvas 30x40cms
This is one of my special paintings, it’s a local Somerset barn. I couldn’t resist painting all the different textures, the beautiful dappled light of summer and the way the composition leads the eye into the distance.
It’s decorating my living room but eventually will move on to a new home.
Painted in oil on canvas in a lovely handmade black and gold painted wood frame. It’s a statement piece so needs a largish wall. Feel free to contact me if you’re interested.

Oil on canvas, in hand made white and gold tulip wood frame.
This is a painting of my studio door with my little dog Roo enjoying the late September sun. A warm, tranquil image to enjoy in any room.
More shiny tarpaulins and dappled light. Mr Fox was an afterthought to animate the picture. This is a Somerset farmyard near my home.

Happy memories of painting in May on beautiful Sark in the Channel Islands.

Painted during a recent trip to Lanzarote in the charming town of Haria. Watercolour on paper, 21x17cms framed
Painted on a recent trip to Lanzarote. I was strangely attracted to the water tank on the roof of this house - I often like to include a utilitarian aspect to my paintings.
Painted on a recent trip to Lanzarote, perched on a wall. Watercolour on paper 17x21cms framed
Painted in a beautiful cactus garden in Lanzarote. The morning light was irresistible. 24x20” framed in light grey and gold.
Painted in a howling gale while visiting Lanzarote. The cactus was growing in the garden of my b&b with an amazing view of the island’s volcanoes. I absolutely had to paint this giant cactus as it was getting ready to flower.
51x61cms framed, oil on board
Inspired by a recent trip to Naples, the composition of these two young women and the abstract shapes of the grand building behind caught my imagination.
56x48cms framed in black and gold, oil on canvas
Painted at my sister’s Greek island house surrounded by cicadas and the smell of pine trees. 48x58cms framed
I couldn’t resist adding these two collar doves to my painting, they were a constant presence in the garden during my stay in Lanzarote. They mate for life and constantly coo to each other, very romantic. Oil on board, framed 61 x 51cms
Inspired by the magnificent sunsets and colours of West Africa using my signature graphic style. Oil on board 20”x22” framed
The bluebells are always an exciting subject to paint especially with the early summer light dappling the woodland. Oil on canvas, in a handmade grey frame 24x 20”
This is the first plain air painting of the year - my garden coming to life in the spring sunshine. 46×66cms framed

Not your usual subject for a painting but when have I ever been conventional?
I saw this on a country walk and knew that I wanted to paint it, the autumnal colours, dilapidated barn and the rural setting spoke to me. It’s certainly a conversation piece!
40×46 cms framed

Oil on Canvas, unframed.
Fire is incredibly difficult to paint, translucent and constantly moving. It was inspired by being caught in a bush fire in Africa.
This is definitely a statement piece! If you have a large wall or would like to turn up the heat in your bedroom or living room, go for it!
